Homages Flow for the Reiners as Medical Examiner's Findings Face a Security Hold.

More than two weeks subsequent to the heartbreaking passing of celebrated film director Rob Reiner and his wife, photographer Michele Reiner, the entertainment community persist in remembering the pair.

‘Life is Pain Without You’: Cary Elwes Recalls His Director

Writing on Instagram, actor Cary Elwes, who was featured in Reiner's 1987 classic *The Princess Bride*, mentioned he finally felt prepared to share openly about his personal sorrow.

"Sufficient time has elapsed that I can now express my sorrow into words," shared Elwes, adding that his first meeting with Reiner left him smitten. "Once we started passing more hours together I understood this was someone I wanted in my life."

The actor shared behind-the-scenes footage from the movie, remarking that he cannot recall "one day without laughter".

"The movie is about love, loyalty and sacrifice. Things that Rob valued immensely. That is part of the many reasons he was the ideal person to guide it," Elwes wrote.

He also paid tribute Michele Reiner, stating: "Claiming that they were a great team would be an oversimplification. My heart still pangs every time I think of you." He finished with a quote from *The Princess Bride*: "Sure, death cannot stop true love but life is pain without you."

Martin Scorsese Recalls a Friend and Collaborator

In a distinct piece, revered director Martin Scorsese shared memories of Reiner, whom he initially encountered in the 1970s.

"Right away, I loved being with Rob. We had a natural affinity for each other. He was very funny and sometimes sharply witty, but he was never the kind of guy who would dominate the room," Scorsese said.

Scorsese highlighted Reiner's acting part in his 2013 film *The Wolf of Wall Street*, portraying the father of the lead role.

"His improvisation skills with the best. He was a master at comedy, he worked wonderfully with his co-stars, and he grasped the emotional dilemma of his character," Scorsese wrote.

Judicial Actions: Autopsy Reports Sealed

Recently, a Los Angeles court official decided to block the publication of the Reiners' autopsy reports, at the request from the LAPD.

A legal directive issued a security hold on the files to limit the public release of "any investigative information, notes, reports or photos" associated with the active case.

The coroner's office had already determined their deaths were the consequence of foul play, with a public database noting the cause as "injuries from a sharp object".

Fallout and Commentary

In the wake of the deaths, public personalities shared different comments.

Ex-President Donald Trump wrote on the matter, making provocative remarks that were widely condemned by numerous commentators.

Podcaster Joe Rogan contributed his voice to the those speaking out recently. Conversing on his show, Rogan characterized the statements as "disturbing" and remarked they revealed a concerning absence of compassion.

Rogan finished by proposing that an aide should have intervened when the impulse to comment on the passing was made.
