The Cottagers Start Strong to Defeat Spurs and Raise Pressure on Frank
Tottenham Hotspur fans who booed goalkeeper Vicario were told afterwards "those individuals cannot be true Spurs fans" by boss Thomas Frank.
Tottenham conceded a pair of scores in the first six minutes to lose 2-1 to Fulham, marking their tenth top-flight home loss of the year.
But the main topic of discussion was the visitors' second score when the keeper lost possession far outside his area.
He ventured out to handle a long ball and carried the ball towards the touchline.
But, rather than kicking it into touch, the Italy international spun and attempted to clear, but lost his footing as the ball skimmed off Harry Wilson and was collected by King.
The forward passed the ball off to Wales midfielder Harry Wilson, who curled a strike into the net from the touchline recorded at thirty-six point six metres.
Moments afterwards when the ball came to the keeper again, a number of Tottenham fans booed him.
Spurs were booed off at half-time, with the side 2-0 down, and again at full-time.
One of those booing sessions truly angered the manager.
"It came to my attention some of our fans reportedly jeered the situation and jeered following, which, in my view is totally unacceptable," the Dane commented regarding the fans' response to his goalkeeper.
"Those individuals can't be true Tottenham supporters that do that. Fair enough jeering following the match, no problem, but when we are playing, we are supporting each other, we are with each other moving ahead."
Tete had handed Fulham a early advantage prior to Wilson's goal – with Kudus netting for Spurs in an better second-half performance.
Former top-flight keeper Hart remarked that the second goal was "completely avoidable".
"I do appreciate the supporters' frustration," the ex-keeper continued. "I am aware the part the keeper is performing. He's a great team player, he is a real leader in the locker room but ultimately you are going to be assessed by your decisions.
"He was heavily involved in what turned out to be the winning goal."
Frank Stood Up For His Goalkeeper Vicario Following the Match
Italy international the keeper is in his 3rd season with Tottenham.
The 29-year-old said following the game that he had to take the feedback.
"That score was a mistake of my own, I accept responsibility for it," he commented.
"My aim was to clear the ball long and I just hit the ball in a bad way. That made an even bigger challenge to climb."
He said receiving jeers "is part of football".
"I'm a big man, how can I respond?" he added. "The team cannot be affected by the circumstances in the stands. The fans have the right to do as they see fit.
"It is on the team to remain more calm, to concentrate on our own performance. The team is missing in calmness and poise to reverse outcomes. This match is a poor defeat and it is tough to take."
Despite the keeper's error, it was far from an simple score for Harry Wilson to score.
Actually it was the next most distant top division goal of the season – after Adams' forty-three point three metre goal for Bournemouth against Sunderland, which interestingly too came on the same day.
The goalscorer said he was "a little bit taken aback" that he still had an empty net to target.
Ten seconds passed between Vicario coming out of his area and the midfielder shooting – which was 5 moments following the clearance.
"I felt like the goalkeeper was away from the box for a long time," Wilson said.
"It amazed me not one of the back four returned to the line. When not one of them covered the goal, my eyes lit up somewhat.
"Udogie slipped as well, which gave me a little additional opportunity. Then it was all about attempting to achieve the right connection and place it towards goal. I had a positive sense, as soon as it left my boot, that it was heading in."
Booing While We Are Still in Play Is Totally Unjustifiable - Frank
While the keeper's mistake dominated coverage, this was an all-round poor day for Tottenham to extend their home ground struggles.
This was their 10th home loss of 2025 in the league, a joint club record along with nineteen ninety-four and 2003.
They still have home fixtures against Frank's old side the Bees and champions Liverpool to come before the end of the year.
Only one of those victories have come since the manager took over from Ange Postecoglou in the off-season.
"When you're down 2-0 following six minutes, there is a mountain to climb," said Frank.
"During in a poor run, all aspects appears to work against you as well – the opening was a redirected attempt, the second is a mistake from Vic.
"The outcome leaves us in a place where we have lost another game. Each fixture has a single narrative, this game we lost in the early stages.
"We simply need to continue striving. The second half was significantly improved and hopefully something we can utilize to develop."
Tottenham have lost 4 consecutive home capital clashes for the first time in the top division.
Furthermore they are recording 9.5 shots and three point two shots on target per game in the Premier League – their lowest averages on file in a single campaign (since at least the 2003-04 season).
Ex- Cottagers midfield player Danny Murphy stated that the manager has to ride the storm.
"He's got take the criticism," the pundit remarked. "He's taken a high profile job at a major team with massive anticipation. There is scrutiny and responsibility that comes with that.
"The performances at home have been poor and they have to improve {quickly|
